Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives

 In the Russian Federation, legislation on drugs, sex work, the criminalization of HIV infection, and bans on the so-called propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations is outdated and does not meet modern international standards. To carry out effective reforms, freely elected representatives of the people and civil service officials must be able to receive information from the interested populations. However, foreign agent laws directly prevent this from happening.
